The Celebrity Everyone Likes but God Loves More!

This is part three of my series, but I changed the title to this last post. I don’t want to come across negative, but I have to say what God is telling me to say even if it’s not positive. But please bear with me, because I must obey God.

This morning I was looking at my YouTube timeline and was surprised to see a recommendation to watch a video about Joyce Meyer’s ministry and how she was a false teacher. The video featured a couple who were former employees of Joyce’s ministry. They really had no issues with Joyce other than not agreeing with her Word of Faith theology. Now I’m not even going to open that can of worms, but I do want to say that this doctrine (Word of Faith) has crippled the church to the point where we can no longer hear anything that is not positive. But the Bible and truth are not always positive, and here is how I know:

I was visiting a church back in September and the Pastor of the church prophesied and said: “You need to prepare this month for what is going to happen next month.” Well, my natural thought process was that I was preparing for something good, however, that was not the case. In the next month, my oldest brother died. That was what God was speaking to me about. Certainly, it was NOT positive.

So God wants to warn this Celebrity (because he loves him) that he must make some changes. In this season, it will not be good enough to just keep going as is. This is a season where he must make changes. And if he doesn’t the results will be on him.

Read Ezekiel 33:1-20 New International Reader’s Version (NIRV)

I know people don’t think that God will allow judgment, but I know he does because God has disciplined me. But my calling is to share what I see even if the person thinks I am being mean and doesn’t understand.

I remember years ago, the Lord admonished me to warn my Pastor at the time, to come off the road (traveling in ministry), take a salary and spend more time at his home church. He got fighting mad at me for telling him this, but the SAME DAY that I shared the Word of the Lord, he had several mini-strokes and was out of his pulpit for MONTHS. The next time I saw him, he was no longer mad at me. He was encouraging me about how powerful the Word of the Lord was in my mouth. You see it’s not me. It was GOD speaking through me.doing-a-180-redefine-yourself

So let me admonish the “celebrity who everyone likes, but God loves more”. This is the season of change. I see him cleaning up his life, living right, and changing his artistry. I see him going back to former movies and TV shows, REMOVING the vulgar content and doing a 180 where his artistry is concerned.  He needs to make clean content again. This next season will come either before a Damascus Road experience or after. The choice is HIS. Listen, this is not doom and gloom, but it is the truth. Read and meditate on the above scripture. PLEASE.

uturnSo before I end this blog post, I must say that I know this man is not a bad person. In fact, I read about a very kind act that he did for a couple just recently and it almost made me not share any of this. But God told me one has nothing to do with the other. I’ve read about many kind acts this man has done. I know he has blessed thousands of people, some things have been published, and I’m sure others have not. But this has to do with God’s requirement for being raised up to such a place of prominence. When God raises us up, we don’t get to do what we want to do.

Maybe one day, I will get to shake his hand or give him a hug and tell him how I have interceded and how I have ALWAYS wished nothing but the best for him. God bless you Mr. Celebrity!

Truth Serum

I can’t tell you how frustrated I am with the state of the Church these days! A friend and I talk about it constantly. I guess it’s because she was raised up in the Church of God in Christ and I was exposed to the Pentecostal movement even though we were brought up in the Baptist church.

So what is the beef I have with today’s church? It’s the lack of holiness. There is NO standard for holiness in the church today. People pretty much do whatever the they want and as long as they mention God or Jesus or darken the door of a church 3 times a year, they think they are alright. But that my friends is just NOT the truth.

Here is a little truth serum. I was talking to someone recently (a man) and he said that he was attracted to my honesty. lol (that’s a new one). But to his defense, we have only chatted online, but what he said did impact me, because I am one who speaks the truth. So here is a little Truth Serum:

Folks we have got to get it together. Either you are on the Lords side or you are not. And when you are on His side, you can’t just stay on the perimeters of the faith. You have to come all the way in and become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ! And that means you must believe his Word and then to the best of your ability, do what it says!

Christianity 101 starts with: accepting him as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). Getting Baptized, not only in water, but with the Holy Spirit (1 Peter 3:21, Acts 2). Church attendance (Hebrews 10:25). Prayer, and studying his Word (2 Chronicles 7:14, 2 Timothy 2:15), and honoring the tenants of the faith. And last but not least, the Word you never hear spoken in the church HOLINESS! ( 2 Corinthians 7:1)

Oh my goodness, if I had a dollar for every time I heard some so-called saint saying they are saved, but sanctioning fornication, lying, stealing, cheating etc, I would be a rich woman. My friend and I were discussing this and we were saying, we would have more respect for people if they just said, I know this is not right, but this is what I am doing. But to change the narrative, is just evil.

I was talking to this man, who says he is Christian and I asked him 10 questions to just see where he is in his faith and I asked him if he believed in sex before marriage and he said “Yes, because you have to know if you are sexually compatible). Sadly, this is what the majority of the church believes today. We are sexual beings, so most people think abstaining is not possible or necessary. But that’s not what God’s word says. And God is not against sex.

Hebrews 13:4 New International Version (NIV)

4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

You can have all the sex you want, it just needs to be within marriage.

Listen, if you are reading this post and your are doing your own thing, there is a reason you landed on this page. God wants you to get it together. God wants you to be saved and live righteous and holy. And let me warn you, that God is kind and merciful, but His mercy does run out and when I say that it’s in love. You can be in sin for 30 years and in the 31st year, judgement will come. Don’t believe me? See my next blog post.

I’m watched it over the years. We have seen it. The well-known preacher in Atlanta who was exposed for messing with boys in his church. Where is he now? Dead at the age of 63. If you think that doesn’t have anything to do with what he did, you are just naive. He dipped into his flock and God took him out of here.

Sometimes, people hear the Word and get convicted and they struggle and change. Other times people have to get hit with a devastating blow that stops them in their track and makes them open their eyes and see the error or their ways. Some of you, even though you don’t believe it, are right at the door of that happening. God is about to interrupt your plans, stop you in your tracks, tear up your life, all to rebuild it again and make it the way He wants it to be.

The Lord made me get up and give this warning. Stop it, you’re on the wrong track, you have created your own doctrine, you have deceived yourself and you are calling wrong right and right wrong. You have walked away from the faith. YOU BACKSLID, BUT YOU TRY TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE NOT. But discerning people can see right through it.

Get away from yes people. Bring some people into your life who will tell you the truth. And stop cutting those people who tell you the truth out of your life. Stop loving this world more than you love Him. If you could just feel what I am feeling right now. The day of God’s chastisement is at hand. Is he mad at you? No. It’s because He loves you!

REMEMBER THIS:

Hebrews 12:6-11 New Living Translation (NLT)

6 For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?

8 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.

9 Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever?

10 For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

11 No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

Recently I had a discussion with a co-worker and he was talking about his church, but there was only one problem; he seemed to despise his church and everything that was going on there. I asked him how he felt about his church and why he wouldn’t leave if he was unhappy. Well he’s young, so he explained he was only there to keep his grandmother happy!

Long story short, I found out this young man who is an elder at his church is not even saved!! He is into Buddhism, Yoruba..some of everything. This got me thinking about Christianity in today’s world.

I keep seeing celebrities talking about Christianity and I realize a lot of them have been exposed to Christianity or have been in the church, but a good deal of people don’t have a clue what true Christianity is all about! I noticed a celebrity recently talking about Jesus and praying, but in the next breath she was talking about burning sage! This is why people are so confused and why the state of  the church is so weak.

As I get older I can see that the we are getting away from the Bible and anything goes. You know longer hear any preachers talk about winning the lost, salvation, being baptized in the Holy Spirit, and the big one is Hell. People don’t talk about judgment, the penalty for sin, holiness or the rapture. Basically, today’s Christianity is about positive thinking, getting what you want from God and having a good life. It’s a lot of fluff.

Recently, a man posted on Facebook and exposed one of the popular “Prophets” for sleeping with his wife. This “Prophet” has a long rumored history of fornicating with women all over the country, yet he continues to “minister” all over the country. There is also another story of another minister who got a parishioner pregnant. He denied being the father, but after he was proven to be the father, he told the young lady if she didn’t abort the baby God would judge her. Can you believe that??

The truth is the church is suffering from the lack of true leadership and truth. Sound doctrine is absent from the church today, so people think their brand of Christianity is right. People only preach the easy stuff and hardly anyone is preaching righteousness. Personally, I want to hear a message that challenges me to change. I don’t want to only hear messages that make me feel comfortable all the time. I want to hear the MEAT of Gods word because I have long since graduated from the milk. God help us to get back on track!!

2 Peter 3:17-18 Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 Therefore, [let me warn you] beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of [a]unprincipled men [who distort doctrine] and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith], 18 but grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Happy New Year! I Still Believe!

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you had a great new year celebration and I mean in holiness!! lol

This year, I am going to write more because someone out there needs to hear what I have to say. And someone needs to hear what you have to say too, provided you are saying the right thing.

This morning I woke up from a dream where I was telling my friend that I had lived my life according to the scriptures and it didn’t work. In the dream I was referring to the fact that I had committed my life to the Lord, didn’t sleep around, waited for His choice for a mate and now it seems it’s to late for me to have a family. I think that dream represented how I feel deep down some times, but I still believe and I still have hope.

Honestly, some things have happened in the last few months that have changed my faith and caused me to see why I have not progressed. I cannot tell you how having a wrong vision can hinder you. You must always stick to the original vision that God has given you and never vary. The minute you do, you will get a false vision. Here’s what I mean:

I was born and raised in New York City and relocated to Florida in July of 2005. When I moved, I knew living in Florida was temporary. God brought me to Florida to be with my Dad until the end of his life. He died in 2011 and I thought I would return to New York. But I ended up staying here. I believe that was okay, but God gave me a vision to relocate to Georgia. I buried that vision and what emerged was a false vision for staying in Florida. Long story short, my vision to move to Georgia has been restored.

Honestly, I had latched on to so many wrong thoughts, but with time I began to see that I was in the wrong place to see the manifestation of the promises of God. Fast forward to now, I am back on track, more encouraged than ever that I am going to get to my correct geographical area. So what’s the hold up? The provision. With every vision there is provision. But God had shown me how He is going to finance this move and I believe it’s going to happen shortly.

Finally, I want to encourage those who “did it right” but haven’t see the fruit of your righteous living. Daily we see people living the way that they want and prospering and seemingly getting ahead, but it won’t be that way always. Just look at the number of the upper echelon being exposed for bad behavior. Trust me the bible is clear that the wicked may seem like they are prospering, but their day of judgment is coming. And God has not forgotten His people. So if that producer abuses his power and takes advantage of women or men. His day of reckoning is coming! Actually, it’s here! So if you see women sleeping around and nabbing a rich man because she had his baby, but you have lived holy and you can’t even get a date. The day of reckoning is here!! God is going to judge this world according to His standards. Maintain your commitment to holiness. The day of reaping is here and you will reap what you have sown, good and bad!!

I’m on the Lords side! Are you? Are you living like you want to live or how God wants you to live. Are you just saved making your own rules or are you a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ in His army obeying him. This is the year to line up and a clear distinction is about to be made. I don’t care what it looks like. The last will be first and the first will be LAST!!

Psalm 37 Living Bible (TLB)

37 Never envy the wicked! Soon they fade away like grass and disappear. Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others; then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety.

Be delighted with the Lord. Then he will give you all your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will. Your innocence will be clear to everyone. He will vindicate you with the blazing light of justice shining down as from the noonday sun.

Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for him to act. Don’t be envious of evil men who prosper.

Stop your anger! Turn off your wrath. Don’t fret and worry—it only leads to harm. For the wicked shall be destroyed, but those who trust the Lord shall be given every blessing. 10 Only a little while and the wicked shall disappear. You will look for them in vain. 11 But all who humble themselves before the Lord shall be given every blessing and shall have wonderful peace.

12-13 The Lord is laughing at those who plot against the godly, for he knows their judgment day is coming. 14 Evil men take aim to slay the poor; they are ready to butcher those who do right. 15 But their swords will be plunged into their own hearts, and all their weapons will be broken.

16 It is better to have little and be godly than to own an evil man’s wealth; 17 for the strength of evil men shall be broken, but the Lord takes care of those he has forgiven.[a]

Proverbs 13:21-22 Amplified Bible (AMP)

21  Adversity pursues sinners,

But the [consistently] upright will be rewarded with prosperity.

22  A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,

And the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the righteous.

Being Purged

I was reading Hebrews 10 and verses 26-31 ministered to me. I starting thinking about how we all sin, but we must cease from habits and patterns of sin. You know those things that are ingrained in us that we keep on doing.

Yes, we all sin, but it’s the habitual sins that will mess up our lives. And yes God is faithful and he forgives, but unless you eventually get free from it, there will be consequences that you will suffer. Just read what the Bible has to say about it:

Hebrews 10:26-31 American Standard Version (ASV)

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,

27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

28 A man that hath set at nought Moses law dieth without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses:

29 of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The reason I’m sharing this is because recently I had a dream and in the dream God showed me something being purged from my life. Immediately I had the understanding that a lot of my suffering was a part of a purification process. Ouch! Not something I wanted to hear or was even willing to admit, but the dream showed something being burned out of life through SUFFERING!

Folks, a lot of the gospel we hear being preached is not accurate. That touchy feely, all the time positive thinking is not the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Read your Bible for yourself. If you continue in any type of pattern or habit of sin, you either have to be delivered or expect God’s judgment. I did not write it. God’s Word says it.

Whether it’s fornication, addictions, gluttony, lying, etc, etc, if there is a pattern or habit and we are not purged and purified, we will fall into the hands of an angry God.

Let us examine ourselves before it’s too late!
