I know a lot of people do what they want, and consult God later, but when you walk prophetically, you take directions from the Lord.
About 6 weeks ago, I heard the still small voice of the Lord say “go to Miami”. Well the reason I know it was God was because I had no desire or intention of going. I believe God had something in mind, but my only objection is that I did not want to travel by myself. I’ve done that so much, I am just tired. Well again I heard the still small voice of the Lord say “take your prayer partner”. Well when I asked her about it she just laughed. You see that very same morning, she was standing in the kitchen and heard God say “go to Miami for a divine connection”. So we started making plans.
I am used to going and just obeying God because He said so, but we also planned our trip around a stage play and so as the time got closer, I became unsure and so again I went to God and asked him to confirm what He has instructed me to do. Recently, I got a message and it seems that there would be no purpose for me to take this trip, so now it’s iffy.
You know if God want to connect us to people and opportunities, all parties must be in agreement and if they are not, then there is no reason to go. I am okay with it. I have to say I was not jumping up and down over the idea because I feel unprepared. But it seems I’ve checked my spiritual “mailbox” and there is a new memo and that memo seems to be saying “don’t go”.
We have to stay open to the changes that God makes. He will accept our hesitancy for now. God sees and knows the whys and He will allow it, but His ultimate plan will come to pass no matter what. Sometimes these delays are simply bumps in the road toward destiny. Our goal should be to get to the place of complete obedience.
Again, I am okay with not going. There will be another opportunity and hopefully this time all parties will be ready!
