Things Are Not What They Seem

“But, you have to know that things are not what they seem to be.” I was just reading an old post and those words just stuck out to me.

Sometimes what looks like something good is not necessarily good. So you may see a situation and from all appearances it appears good, but it’s not.

Let God work your situation out the way he wants to, even if it means someone else gets where you want to get first.

Just be happy for the person. If they get to Paris or Dubai first, rejoice! You’re next.

I knew God was reminding me that I am about to see something that is going to appear to be good, but it is not going to be anything like what I think. And this Word may apply to you. Don’t forget..Things are NOT always what they seem!seems are not what they seem

Beyonce, Jay-Z and Solange Knowles

Today, the internet was all abuzz as video footage surfaced of Solange Knowles, sister of Beyoncé, physically attacking Beyoncé’s husband rapper Jay-Z. The footage came from a hotel elevator camera.

The video is shocking to say the least. While watching Solange attack her brother-in-law, you cannot help but wonder what made her fighting mad. It was also interesting to watch Beyoncé do absolutely nothing. But the title of this post came about because once all parties came out of the elevator, had you not seen the elevator video, you would have NEVER known all that drama took place.

The world idolizes celebrities, but we need to keep our eyes focused on the Lord. Watching the video got me to thinking that things are definitely NOT what they seem!

Love Series: Letting Go Of Love

Love-Is-Letting-GoJust call me the teflon woman! I’m not even phased by what would have floored me in the past. That’s because God is doing a new thing in me. I just have to continue to obey God and WATCH him work. Yes, I will post when I feel led, but really the future is in God’s hand and when he has revealed it (Amos 3:7) there is nothing to be concerned about. Things are quickly coming to a head. Plus God told me that the truth has been reconfirmed to someone yet again through wise counsel. There is no way around it.

God showed me some things and it doesn’t mean that what was shown to others was not of God. But we can be deceived about the outcome. For example, you may meet someone who seems to rock your world and you form a real connection with that person. You may feel this person is the love of your life. But that doesn’t mean you will marry that person. And once you know you won’t, you have to let go.

God is in control and it’s smart for us to listen to HIM. God knows who best for our future. We may think we know, but God knows. Sometimes we just can’t see it because we don’t really know people.

I remember a few years back listening to someone dreams and asking God about them. I was not going to assume it was from God because of what they shared. People lie all the time and they are good liars too. lol  But I remember praying and then the person shared something that was the answer to MY prayer. The person told me they had a dream that THEIR OWN DREAMS WERE DECEIVING THEM!! I was stunned. You see God told the person that they were being deceived by their dreams. He was warning them that what they believed would not be, even if the situation seemed to manifest. This is why you need REAL discernment.

Sometimes women can get infatuated with a man and just make up stuff and it seeps over into your dreams. And it not easy if what we feel is reciprocated. But that doesn’t mean it’s God’s perfect will. In the end, God knows what is best and we must trust him him or wake up in a nightmare. I trust him with my heart. How about you?

Now here is a Word of warning. Once God says no, we should make every attempt to let go. Continuing to lead someone on, or make them think they have a future with us, when we know they don’t, can be dangerous. It’s best to clearly communicate truth as best we can and pull back. If you don’t, it can turn ugly.

Letting go of dreams and the dream of love or “love” is never easy. But the longer you hold on to it, the longer you will delay your future. Trust that God has something so much better. Just because you don’t think it’s better, doesn’t mean it isn’t. Remember. God see all and knows all. Trust him!

Amos 3:7

New International Version (NIV)

7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing
without revealing his plan
to his servants the prophets.

God’s Got It!

truthorlieBefore the holiday, I took a few days to fast and pray and boy did I receive focus and clarity! When we seek him, He will make things clear to us.

I was concerned about a friend and had prayed for them and this past week they shared a dream and I knew that God was speaking, making the situation clear. Whether or not they will heed is on them. But God was clearly showing them that their thoughts are not His thoughts.

Sometimes we may be concerned about our friends and family, but we have to remember that God has it. He is able to speak to them and tell them exactly what they need to know. Whether they receive it, is on them. Once God reveals a thing, the responsibility rest squarely on our shoulders.

Our biggest prayer should be against the spirit of deception. It’s when we are deceived about the outcome of a situation, or are being deceived by someone, is when we have the most problems.

Pray for the spirit of truth to come. Time is out for believing or perpetuating a lie. But remember, God’s got it!

Psalm 51:6

King James Version (KJV)

6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Things Are Not What They Seem

1353181131_things20arent20always20what20they20seem_xlargeIf God tells you not to worry and that things are not what they seem, BELIEVE IT!.

I’ve been so concerned about something here lately and God was telling me not to worry because it wasn’t as “intimidating” as I thought it was and of course, God is always right! Some times the situation is just a mere fantasy, just as He showed you. Not as real as it is being presented, no matter what the person is saying.

I was looking at something that seemed to be such a threat, but the truth is it’s not that stable at all, even if it appears that it is. The truth is there are many distractions, not just one.

God sees what is going on behind the scenes. People can be in denial if they want. Things are REALLY not what they seem.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

Look how far you have come!  The difficulties that you have endured and overcome have instructed you and driven you to find Me in a more meaningful and concrete way.  Your days of trouble are not to be disdained; they are to be recognized as a necessary part of your growth process.  Don’t lament, says the Lord.  Rejoice for where you are now and where I will take you from here.
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

The Dream and The Pretender

Stop pretendingWell, well, well….yesterday, I felt simply giddy, but I didn’t even know why. But guess what? This morning I know why!

Let me emphasize this! When you pray, GOD HEARS YOU. When you FAST AND PRAY, God will cut through the deception!!

So, I have been a little upset lately about something that was affecting my destiny and I was asking God a question. Well this morning I talked to my best friend in New York, and God gave her my answer!

So, I called my friend the other day distraught, and left her a voice mail just asking her to pray. Well she text me back a word of encouragement and we set up a time to talk. I was supposed to call her yesterday on her lunch break, but forgot because I was driving at the time. Well, we finally talked this morning. Now, there is a reason I had to share all that.

Let me tell you that God is an on time God. In the midst of me trying to talk to my friend, Something happened and it had to happen BEFORE I talked to my friend. Well I talked to my friend and she shared a very specific dream she had about me and  the situation I was concerned about. All I can say is WOW!

All I’m going to say is that if someone is pretending, God can and will expose it. I’m not going to detail more that that. All I know is today, I’m even giddier that I was yesterday!

John 8:32

King James Version (KJV)

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
