A Prisoner for Christ?

344823735_640

There is place you get in your walk with God where you can’t use the the “free will” card meaning you can’t do what you want. I know somebody knows what I am talking about!

I just called my prayer partner to tell her what I was going to do and God said a resounding NO, in the most unusual way. Sheesh!

I want to cry now because I feel like I an inmate. And I am. I’m a PRISONER FOR CHRIST. JESUS, I SO WANT TO LET THIS THING GO!!!

Luke 22:42

King James Version (KJV)

42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Strength to Go Through!

duelThis walk in Christ is something else! I have to say that God showed me something a long time ago and I just can’t seem to fully let go. Oh, my mind says let go, BUT GOD, says HOLD ON!

Last Friday, the Lord told me to turn on the radio on to listen to Steve Harvey’s morning exhortation. I remember as he exhorted people to keep believing, NO MATTER WHAT, I knew there was challenge coming. Well it only took one day and all the faith I had the previous week almost went out the window. Well that is why God gave me the Word on Friday.

What I have learned is that some things must take place before God’s plan for my life can happen. I wish I could pretend that what I am passing through was not revealed to me ahead of time. Oh, not all of it, and not all of the details. But God gave me a pretty good idea of what was going to happen. God showed me through my dreams, the dreams of friends and even a few visions. Oh it’s clear.

There are no dueling visions. The things that others have seen is happening for them now. My vision may be relegated to a future date, but it’s still going to happen. God does not want anything or anybody to be a threat to HIS ULTIMATE PURPOSE.

But, God also showed me he is only going to let things go so far. Once His plan is revealed, you don’t get to say no WITHOUT consequences. Sometimes it’s just a matter of letting you see that what you think you want is not really what you want at all. So sometimes you have to get close to, or get what you want. But there is a time when God will pull you back and say ENOUGH!

Not sure how God is going to do this. I was told there was “NO MIRACLE TO COME” but God says something different, so I believe HIM not man.

Oh, the plans that are shining forth hold much promise for you, dear one. My plans for you are flawless and My strength will carry you through. You will know victory at its finest. I am eager for the coming hour, so eager, and I want you to be eager too, dear one. I want you eagerly anticipating seeing My plans develop!!!

Love Series: Tainted Love

taintedloveAfter some wise counsel by a fellow blogger, I am rewriting this blog. post.

Sometimes we are women can spend time deluding ourselves.. Listen ladies. Sometimes, we have to wake up and take inventory of our relationships with men. If a man is carrying on with another woman sexually, you may need to examine his love for you. I’m talking about dating relationship. I know men separate love from sex, however if you are dating a man who is cheating on you, take a second look.

I know of 3 married couples that survived infidelity and these couples have been married more than 20 years, so you relationship can survive. But this blog is about dating relationships on and offline. I’ve heard some  women make statements like ” I did the same thing to him” or “he was thinking of me when he was having sex with her”. Well I believe that is where we get into tainted love.

My friend and I were talking about relationships and she said something so powerful. She was saying she was in a 9 year FAKE relationship and she NEVER had an address or phone number for the man. When the dust settled, he got married to someone else in the middle of the 9 years. Finally, his wife showed up at the door and slipped the marriage license under the door and that is how she found out he was married!! Sadly, the relationship continued even while he was married. PLUS SHE AND THE WIFE HAVE DAUGHTERS BORN THE SAME YEAR!! (I asked permission to share the story and she said YES!!) Ladies, this is tainted love.

And let’s address the men who are dating women and  purposely withhold information to keep the woman in the dark. When you are dating someone exclusively, it’s important to be forthright when you have cheated. This way the woman can make the decision to continue in the relationship

So is there forgiveness after dating  indiscretion? Yes, there is. As long as both parties know the truth and make a decision to more forward. But it’s important to make a true evaluation especially when you are just dating.

Love Series: Love or Lust?

A while back God gave me a dream that I didn’t understand until recently. This morning I was reading instagram and I saw the following, I almost jumped up and shouted. This is SO powerful!

My dream was about a man who was saying he was in love but he was really driven by lust. LISTEN UP LADIES! Sometimes when a man says he needs you, he is talking about sex. And here is how you will know it’s lust and not love. HE WILL PRESSURE YOU TO HAVE SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE. Be careful!

‘Which altar are you running to? When struggling with #sexual purity, far too many #singles run to the altar to #marry than running to the altar to God in#prayer. They attempt to escape their sexual struggles by running into marriage & either #marry prematurely or marry the wrong person, instead of running into the arms of God for strength. You’re running for the wrong arms! You must allow God to heal you & deliver you from your sexual struggles while you are single or you’re just going to take them into #marriage. Many fornicators are rehearsing #adultery. That’s why You must get healed while you’re single.’ Wow quotes from the#book Single, Saved & Having Sex 30 Day Guide To#Celibacy by @TyAdamsTV own it today at http://www.iTy.TV/Shop/SSHSFollowing

Fasting and Focus Pt. 2

20100121_prayer-and-fasting_poster_imgThere is nothing like fasting to help you regain your focus and to help you see and discern TRUTH.

Recently, I wrote someone and at the time, I really felt what I wrote. But as, I reread what I wrote. I thought “who was that”? lol I have a fresh new perspective which only comes from seeking the Lord.

Last week God gave me the information that I needed to understand that things are not what they seem AT ALL. And for a minute I caved and fell for he “okie doke” (urban expression; look it up), but I have my focus back. God is in control.

If you need to regain focus on how God sees a situation, seek him in prayer and fasting. It never fails. You will get to the root of the problem every time.

Matthew 6:16

New International Version (NIV)

Fasting

16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

The Grace to Let Go Pt. 2

lettinggoYesterday was a day of freedom. God gave me the grace to let something go. There is freedom in letting things go. God knows the future and our future is in HIS hands as long as we yield to God. All we need to do is TRUST HIM!

Proverbs 3:5-6

New International Version (NIV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]
