The lady who I am staying with temporarily, is 70 years old. Yesterday, she and I were talking and she was asking me how old I was. I think I told her once, but clearly she had forgotten. Well like most women the subject of age is not one we readily want to talk about. So she asked me if I was in my 30’s or late 20’s. Well of course I was flattered beyond measure. She finally settled on 35. She then said, well your skin is so smooth and you are so young-looking. Well, you know I was not going to tell her how old I was after that. So I finally told her I was over 40.
Although my friend is 70, she is still very active and doesn’t stop unless she has to. She is still driving and getting around and is involved in so much. It’s a blessing to see active seniors because that is definitely how I want to be. Getting older doesn’t mean you have to be old and feeble.
Whether you are young-looking or just young at heart, Just enjoy the life God gave you for as long as you can!
Ruth 4:15a
