Hold Your Peace

FightBattlesA few hours earlier, my bible just “happened” to fall open to Exodus 14:14 and it says” hold your peace and let the Lord fight for you. Well when I saw it I knew something was coming and it did.

In the past I would have found a way to address it somehow, but this time I have to let God do exactly what He says He going to do. After all, who can vindicate you like God.

I will never forgot temping for United Healthcare in New York City. Even though I was a temp worker I was on the job for a while. Well, the temp workers would take turns attending the staff meeting with the permanent workers because we needed to know what was going on. So this particular meeting another temp went to the meeting and maligned my character in the meeting. Well I thank God I had friends in the company who knew my character and liked me, so they came back and told me. Well I didn’t do anything. God had this one.

In less than two weeks the girl was GONE from the company. You see it was a holiday and the boss told us we could leave early but it wasn’t going to be for another couple of hours. Then the boss left. Well this same girl who lied on me, came out from her desk and asked if the boss had left and we reminded her the temps were supposed to stay until a certain time. Well she left and guess what? The boss returned because she had forgotten something and when she asked for her we had to tell the boss she was gone. Well the boss called the Temp agency right then and told them to ask her not to return.

I have to say, that is a perfect example of holding your peace. Was there a connection to what she did to me and her getting fired? Absolutely! She had messed with a child of God. Even my unsaved co-workers said it, but they called it Karma.

I know the enemy has sent out an accusation against me because I have purposed to fast and pray, but God has got me!

Someone is going through something right now and God is saying HOLD YOUR PEACE. GOD HAS GOT THIS!!

Exodus 14:13-14

King James Version (KJV)

13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Turning Point

turning_point_logo_300dpipsd_186102606.24140059_stdI am grateful for the blessings and power that comes through prayer and fasting. This spiritual discipline is vital because when you fast it kills the flesh and you are able to hear God better.

This morning I needed insight on a particular matter and I got it so easily. Now I wonder why I was fretting so. The truth is there is nothing to be concerned about. God is in control when we feel our circumstance is out of control. I have learned a lot about myself through certain circumstances and hopefully I won’t make the same mistakes.

One thing I learned is that I put way to much information out here. Not a good thing to do. I figured it was okay to share here, but again, I shared too much.

I am also realizing that I need to take a minute and breath before reacting, blogging or doing anything. Things are definitely not always what they seem and sometimes they can be downright confusing. So I am learning to sit down and take a “chill pill” as the kids would say.

I am not perfect and I KNOW IT. For some reason there have been two people who have felt I feel I am better than them. I have to laugh at that one. Nothing could be further from the truth. But I understand it. When you are insecure, sometimes you project that onto people. Plus, chalk it up to being  online. If you have never sat in front of someone, heard their voice and felt their presence, how would you really know?

Well, it’s turning point for me and yes, God is making all things new and I am excited. The rest of my day was filled with the peace of God. Only he could give it to me and only he can take it away. I really have nothing to worry about because my life is in HIS hands, and so is yours.

Romans 8:28

King James Version (KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God Knows What He is Doing….

trust 2TRUST HIM!

This morning I was talking to my prayer partner as I usually do and she said two things to me that settled a matter on my heart, ONCE AND FOR ALL. To be honest, it’s something I’ve known for a while because God showed it to me in a dream. Well there was nothing else to say. When she spoke prophetically, it was like a rebuke! It was like God was saying “how dare you NOT believe me daughter”? I’m sorry Lord!

I don’t care what the circumstance LOOKS LIKE, I don’t care what it FEELS LIKE, I don’t care if you don’t understand. God has a reason for allowing it so just TRUST HIM!!

God sees all and knows all. WHO are WE to think we know better than GOD?  I’m done!

Lamentations 3:37

New International Version (NIV)

37 Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?

Numbers 23:19

King James Version (KJV)

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Is There No Repair?

repairSometimes when we have hurt someone it seems there is no repair. I’ve been there and am still recovering. But God has the power to heal and deliver and set us free from all hurts and pain.

I wounded someone and didn’t realize how deeply. What I now realize is that person is a very sensitive soul and I can sometimes reel a bloody sword. All I can do is to say I am sorry and pray for their healing and pray for God’s very best from their life; and I do!

Yes, there is repair. God is able to heal our wounds. I’ve learned something about myself. I need to be kinder and gentler and have more compassion of those little ones.

Jeremiah 8:22

New International Version (NIV)

22 Is there no balm in Gilead?
Is there no physician there?
Why then is there no healing
for the wound of my people?
