Sometimes I day-dream about how I am going to SPOIL my husband. I am of that generation that believes in cooking and serving your mate. I remember so well, no matter how upset my mother was with my Dad, and how badly he acted, when he came home from work, there was always a hot meal on the table. Always! And that is the kind of wife I want to be.
I’m learning a lot about men and what turns them on and what turns them off. Men want to feel valued and respected and they want to know that they are important to their woman and I don’t think that I will have a hard time being kind, loving and affectionate to my husband. I don’t know if this blog makes me sound like a cold fish (LOL) but I am not. I have a lot of love to give, but just have not had the opportunity to give it to someone yet. But WATCH OUT! My husband is in for a treat!! 😉
Sometimes God will use your current circumstance to help you love people even when you don’t want to. So today, I had the opportunity to show love to someone even though that person has not been treating me right, but GUESS WHAT?? I passed the test and I am proud of myself (not boasting). I am just glad I was able to not react to what has been done to me. And although this is not someone of the opposite sex, the same principle applies. Love people in spite of how they treat you. It’s the God-kind of love. Not always easy to do, but practice makes perfect.
My only prerequisite for showing this love is, naturally, it has to be up-close and personal and it has to be reciprocated. I’m also not going to chase a man down either. I know there are men who are insecure about love, but if you sow love you will get it back and I think (correct me if I’m wrong) it starts with the man. I think it’s the nature of a man to pursue and not be pursued. When he is pursued, it almost always ends up not lasting. Just my humble opinion.
Yes, tender loving care awaits my mate. He is welcome to come and get it at any time. LOL Well call first..LOL 😉
Song of Songs 1:1-4
New International Version (NIV)
1 Solomon’s Song of Songs.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—
for your love is more delightful than wine.
3 Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes;
your name is like perfume poured out.
No wonder the young women love you!
4 Take me away with you—let us hurry!
Let the king bring me into his chambers.
