Love Series: Unequally Yoked

donkeyoxyokeThe Bible is clear when it speaks of being unequally yoked with unbelievers. You have to question what is going on if someone feels more comfortable with unbelievers than believers. This scriptures lets us know that we must not closely align ourselves in friendship, marriage and business with someone who doesn’t believe as we do.

I also have heard it taught that this also has to do with believers and their spiritual levels in God. In other words, you can have two saved people who are unequally yoked with each other as well. I think you can have two Christians and one can be a believer and the other is not, whether they are carnal, doubtful, or not able to hear from God.

Recently God told me that he has spoken to the man he has for me, but the man is an ‘UNBELIEVER”. In other words, he does not believe what God said to him. God told me his success, his own desires and his lack of faith have become a hindrance. But I am not worried. I know this man has one more lesson (a very big and painful one)  and then he will be ready. Then the Lord told me clearly, that I don’t want him until he is READY and I know that is the truth.

I’ve know for sometime that he and I could not be together now because we would be “unequally yoked”.  But the change is around the corner. All that God showed me is happening. God showed me in dreams some things that are happening  now, and they are a part of the plan. Some stuff must happen first. So it’s good to not be “the choice”. lol  Meanwhile, all I can do is fast and pray and wait of God. I want the finished product and I need some finishing myself. lol

Wait on God and don’t take matters in your own hands!! You don’t want to create an Ishmael! Remember this: Ishmael ALWAYS becomes a  problem.

2 Corinthians 6:14

Amplified Bible (AMP)

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?
