Love Series: The Choice is Yours

You-have-a-choice-SBL-300x225I read something today that made me chuckle. I’m in a different space about God’s promises. God already told me He has spoken to the person who He has for me, and so I am resting in that revelation. Now that person can make a choice and go in another direction, however I’m not so much concerned about that. You see I birthed this thing in the realm of the spirit and in the fullness of time, it will manifest in the natural.

I’m okay with whatever happens  in the meantime. God clearly said “JOSEPH KNOWS”. But sometimes people are unsure or they just don’t want who or what God wants or they want someone else. I understand it though. Trust me, I know what God said, and I GET IT.

So if that person temporarily wants to go in another direction, so-be it. I know God told me if that man goes in another direction, He will allow me to do the same. Oh yes, at one time I thought because I heard from God, if he went another way, I had to sit and wait and twiddle my thumbs. But God made it perfectly clear that was not the case. If he chooses to go in another direction and I know about it, I am free to do the same.  For some reason, I think it’s going to happen and I think I am going to end up dating someone else. I now think it’s apart of God’s plan. I REALLY believe that now. And if it does, there is a purpose.

I was watching a lifetime movie recently and in the movie this woman returned to a town where her old boyfriend lived with his wife. Well she and this married man had such a strong connection, it threatened his marriage. As I watched the movie, I realize that some things must play out, end and die. I know for me, my worse nightmare is for a strong connection from the past to return. It was painful to watch. I just know I don’t want to live through that.

God knows what is best and we have to trust Him, even if it means taking a detour. So there it is. The choice is yours!

Matthew 1:18-24

New International Version (NIV)

Joseph Accepts Jesus as His Son

18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about[a]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[b] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[c] because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[d] (which means “God with us”).

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.
