Not Yet Saved?

savedJeremiah 8:20

King James Version (KJV)

20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

This post is going to get me in trouble, but that is okay. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before!

I was asking God some questions about a lack of connection I was having with someone and God gave me an answer I was not ready for. Now remember GOD gave me the answer through the mouth of my Pastor, so I didn’t say it and the Pastor didn’t say it. It was the Word of the Lord and God spoke.

Now, I am not one to judge whether or not someone is saved because God is the only one that knows the heart of the individual, but I was asking God why such a disconnect and the Lord told me it’s because the person needed to be saved. (sorry, God said it).

This is not designed to make anyone feel bad. It’s designed to get people saved for real. When I heard this Word, I remember another Word given to me years ago and the person said someone was going to get saved for real. Back then I couldn’t receive it, but  I have to be honest, it really makes sense.

Here are some indications that a person may not really be regenerated.

!. When they despise church, avoid church and dislike fellowshipping with Christians..

2. When they only hang around non-believers.

4. When they are immoral. If a man or woman makes no apology about being in sexual sin and pressures you to have sex, I would question if they truly know the Lord.

5. They are into a mix of different worldly views and love the world and see no need to be separated from the world, they may not be born-again.

6. When a person  who claims salvation for a very long time, emphasizes what they want more than what God wants, they may not know Him.

7.When a person speaks bad of other Christians (concerning their faith) they are probably not of the faith.

Like I said, I am hesitant to comment on someones salvation, but the truth is some people are just “playing a role”. They are good at faking it. It’s hard for me to comprehend that, but if God is saying that is the case, that is the case.

If any of this applies to you, it’s time to truly, give your heart to the Lord. Many will do a lot of “stuff” in the name of the Lord, but in the end, God is going to tell them, He never knew them. It’s time to do some self-examination.

2 Corinthians 13:5

King James Version (KJV)

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

2 Corinthians 13:5

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [[a]not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?

Matthew 7:21-23

New International Version (NIV)

True and False Disciples

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
