I had a bit of a rough week. I thought I was only feeling down because of Mother’s Day, but later realized that was only part of it. I was paging through Facebook, only to see pictures of a bunch of mothers-to-be, and then it hit me. It was not only missing my mother that was affecting me, it is also that fact that motherhood has eluded me.
I don’t want to sound bitter, but I wonder how you can live right and do it just as the Bible has said, and then be denied a family? These are the things that can come to test your faith.
I understand why people get discouraged and have difficulty continuing with God (not me, but I can understand it). It’s the things that are missing from our lives that can sometimes rock our faith.
For me, I really believed that God had spoken to me about marriage, but I realize now, if that were the case, that person would know as well and if a man spends his time wooing and encouraging someone else, or divided in his heart, that is not the case.
So what’s missing? I’m sure most of us can think of something. Lately, I’ve thought that perhaps what is missing will never come, but then God assures me that it will. I am not putting a name or face to Boaz, but I know that MY Boaz will COME. I just have to wait for it.
Whatever is missing, just wait! Everything is beautiful in HIS TIME. Not ours!
