Love Series Being Vulnerable

VulnerableIt’s not easy to show how you really feel. I shared earlier about hiding the truth and not even realizing it. But it’s okay to admit to some things, but you also don’t have to tell it all. The Bible still says to guard your heart.

I take issue with women who woo men. I don’t think it’s God’s way. The story of Hosea and Gomer is a beautiful story and Hosea kept loving no matter what Gomer did, but Hosea was the man and Gomer was the woman. I do not believe God ever wanted a woman to woo a man. In the end, it never works in my opinion, because it’s out of God’s order.

But as women we can warm up and not be so cold and protected. We need to let men be men and figure out what they want on their own. Yes, I’m growing. Wooing and fighting for a man never works.

But there is a way to let a man know that you don’t mind him coming to visit, no matter how unorthodox the visit is. lol It’s okay to let him know you miss him when he’s gone.

I guess what I’m saying ladies is allow God to soften your heart and don’t worry about being hurt. The key is to not put yourself out there and give too much too soon. But being warm and friendly never hurt anyone. 😉

1 Corinthians 13:4

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastfulor vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
