I am a pretty consistent person in my beliefs. Once God has a revealed a thing to me and confirmed it over and over, I don’t change like the wind. Even when I take a detour, it’s a God sanctioned one.
But there is NOTHING worse than dealing with someone who changes like the wind. But I understand what’s at the root of it is uncertainty. But you would think if you are unsure, you would go to God and ask him. But everyone has not matured to that level.
I didn’t just arrive at this place. I’m not boasting, but just like a smart businessman hones his craft, that same effort must be given in developing the ability to hear the voice of God. And also, things must be given up too.
I remember years ago, my friends mother was newly saved and no one had to tell her, but she just knew she had to give up her wine. Now I know a lot of Christians feel it’s okay to drink wine. But I will tell you this. If you want to hear the voice of God accurately and not walk in constant confusion and uncertainty, you will have to give up something.
This modern-day Christianity, doesn’t want to sacrifice anything for God. But guess what? No sacrifice and you stay in shallow waters.
Well I’m supposed to be talking about an emotional nightmare. Well there is nothing worse than being on a rollercoaster ride with someone who changes their mind five times in the course of a day. I will tell you this. I’m getting off this ride, until further notice…but then again, the month of March is almost here and God said some things are going to change.
New International Version (NIV)
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
