This bares repeating!

A Prophetic Walk

When God calls us to a ministry, he will equip us and through time and experience we learn more and more about our calling. I know God called me through Jeremiah 1, which is the prophetic call. I’ve studied this ministry for a while and been trained by the very best. I’m not perfect, but seasoned enough to understand what is going on.

This evening God dropped a word in my spirit for someone and they rejected it. I was not moved because I knew it was from God. But the person got all out of character. I also, had been going back in forth about this persons true identity. I knew there was something that was not quite right. But as soon as this word came forth, all hell broke loose. That is called prophetic backlash.

I remember my prophetic mentor shared with us that when you give a…

broken ringsSometimes people fall in love and but it doesn’t necessarily mean they are to marry. If you are a certain age, I’m sure you can look back and see an old love that you thought for sure you would end up with, but in the end you did not. That’s because love does not always translate into marriage.

I believe in love, but I believe in love and the will of God has well. They both go hand in hand. Once you fall in love with someone you must make certain that is who God really has for you to spend the rest of you life with.

Ideally that should happen ahead of time because it makes it a lot easier to let go, but life is not always like that. Sometimes you fall in love and then you have to go through the pain of letting that love go.

The Power of Letting Go

Flying ButterflyOne night I was up at the craziest hour and I ended up watching a movie that I don’t even know the name of.and I didn’t get the full story, but it seemed this man saved this woman’s life. Well she was homeless so he invited her to stay in his little dingy basement apartment and I guess since she was homeless, she cautiously took him up on the offer.

Well, in the beginning he was very nice to her. He had an extra bed that he let her sleep on and he fed her and offered her to stay again. But then he decided he wanted her to be his wife and he held her prisoner against her will. She tried to get away and fought and finally one day he left the door unlocked and set her free.

Yes, just like most anybody, I was rooting for her to be set free. Well she left, went out enjoyed herself and then something amazing happened! She was walking down the street where the man had her locked up and she went back looking for him!!!! I was so shocked. When he asked her why she came back she said “I came back for you” and they kissed. In the next scene, the woman’s mother came to visit her and guess what?? She had married the man who kept her in prison. It’s blew my mind.

What God has for you, is for you. If you set it free and it’s meant to be,it will come back to you. God gives everyone the power of choice!!

John 12:24

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

24 I can guarantee this truth: A single grain of wheat doesn’t produce anything unless it is planted in the ground and dies. If it dies, it will produce a lot of grain.

Samson And Delilah

Whenever I read the story of Samson and Delilah, I always think that Delilah did not love Samson at all. If you read the story it becomes clear that he was just a challenge. But Samson made a HUGE mistake. He told Delilah all of his secrets not knowing that she would use them against him later on.

He was probably in love, or lust, and thought that he could really trust her. But what he didn’t know was that the plan was bigger than he could ever imagine. There were other people involved and Delilah was feeding information to the Philistines, which would eventually end in Samson’s death. The player was played by a bigger gamer. Yes, “sweet” little Delilah was a part of a huge plan to bring Samson down. That is not love at all.

What is sad is the fact that each time Samson told Delilah a lie about where his strength was, and the Philistines tried it, he kept going back to Delilah. He must have been in “love-lust” because he didn’t even know it was a set up. A well constructed plan in which Delilah was a part.

Samson was the biggest game player of all, and now his reaping was upon him. His heart was wide open to a woman who did not care about him at all. Delilah was a good actress. She knew how to say the right things. I’m sure that Delilah told her girlfriends that she didn’t love the man, but sadly Samson could not tell.

I guess I should have named this one, “Guard Your Heart Pt. 2. It’s a warning to watch who you open your heart to. Sometimes the enemy will use those people to destroy you!

Judges 16:4-5

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Samson and Delilah

After leaving Gaza, he fell in love with a woman in the Sorek Valley. Her name was Delilah. The Philistine rulers came to her and said, “Trick him, and find out what makes him so strong. Find out how we can overpower him. We want to tie him up in order to torture him. Each of us will give you 1,100 pieces of silver.”

Guard Your Heart!

heartThere is nothing worse than the pain that comes from matters of the heart. That is why Proverbs 4:23 says:

Proverbs 4:23

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

23 Guard your heart more than anything else,
because the source of your life flows from it.

It is said that when people have heart transplants, they like the things that the person who donated that heart did. It’s called cellular memory. Shows you how powerful the heart is.

God knew what he was talking about. This is why people who love each other can end up burning each others clothing up and putting each other in the hospital (I knew a couple who did just that). When someone get’s into your heart, and things don’t go right, it can get real ugly quick.

I have put a lock on my heart and JESUS has the key! And he will give the key to the right man.

Song of Solomon 8:4

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Young women of Jerusalem, swear to me
that you will not awaken love
or arouse love before its proper time!

Love Series: Stopped Before It’s Started

stopMy regular readers know I shared about this minister that I had a crush on at my church and now he is gone and started his own church. I was considering going to the church “just to see”. So when I prayed about it and asked my friend about going, my Pastor mentioned a not so good situation that Sunday and the story he told made me halt. My friend and I looked at each other and she said, “we won’t be going there”.

Just recently someone hurt me, yet again for the umpteenth time and I started thinking I wanted to go see about this man again and then God reminded me of a dream I had showing me that God had stopped that situation before it had a chance to get started.

Seems like it’s the story of my life. I had a few handsome suitors come along admiring me, but God stops it before it even get’s started. But now that I look back at it, I have to say that I am glad. When my husband finds me, he is going to find a clean slate and not a divided heart soul-tied to the past. And when I say that I love him ONLY, it will not be just flattering words because I want something from him. It will be the truth.

I used to lament that God had kept me. Now I celebrate it. I haven’t created any exes and I’m glad about it!! My husband whoever he is and wherever he is going to be BLESSED!!

Genesis 2:23

GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

23 The man said,“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She will be named woman because she was taken from man.”
