Happy New Year!

wpid-img_20121230_202758As I contemplate making some changes, the past keeps cropping up. My problem is, if something happened yesterday, I don’t consider it the past. However, in God’s eyes it is. So I keep saying “but” to God. But today as I read the prophetic devotional below, God let me know, I have to focus on what is ahead of me and not dwell on what He says is the past. It’s almost 2013. I’ve got to leave any hurt and pain behind. And so do you!! Let’s not let the pain of the past, hinder the future. Happy Year!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

What’s done is done.  You can’t change the past, but you can make a decision to let go of all that will hinder your walk of faith.  Establish yourself in strong faith through hearing the Word.  Take one step at a time without projecting into the future.  Otherwise, you could get overwhelmed, says the Lord.  Move forward with renewed hope. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Yes, to Your Will Lord

I am sitting in the library after paying a bill and an acquaintance instant messaged, me talking about her problems with her kids. I mean she was venting…then the person in front of me at the library was looking at some half-naked women on the computer. I was trying to read an email and then someone messaged me from Facebook, all at one time! For a minute I felt like my head was going to pop off, and then I saw this post on my friends Facebook page and it brought such peace:

All I have to say is YES LORD!

Our Protector

BahamasI have learned and I’m still learning that Jesus is our protector! He sees and knows the future, so when He blocks something from happening, just say “thank you Jesus!”

I have shared about trying to move for some time now. I’ve gone back and forth and every time that I have tried, the SAME situation cropped up and let me know that it was not time to make the change. And because of the nature of the situation, I was smart enough to wait on God.

Lately the Lord has reminded me of a prophetic word my mentor gave me a while back. It spoke of contrary winds ceasing and in the midst of them ceasing God was going to take me into a new direction. We may think God is a hard task master, but God knows me and he knows I would not make any changes as long as there were “contrary winds (words and talk). Until they cease, there will be no change. This was the Word of the Lord.

God is loving and he is not trying to injure, inflict pain on us or kill us. He is wanting to protect us from unnecessary stress. And when I SEE the contrary winds have stopped that will be my signal to cross over! Thank you Jesus! It’s just that simple. God did not want me to make the change and be devastated.

So if you have ever asked God “when will it all end” the answer is “when the contrary winds cease”. Stop all the words and talking and God will send your miracle to you!

Mark 4:39

Amplified Bible (AMP)

39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased ([a]sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm ([b]a perfect peacefulness).
