I am sitting at the computer with tears in my eyes, thinking about the parents who will bury their children right before Christmas and in the middle of Hanukkah. Pray for this nation!!

An Answer To Prayer

My stomach was in knots yesterday, praying and asking the Lord about something in particular. The answer came in this devotional. Perhaps this will be a blessing to someone else too.

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:   An old memory came up for review.  When our son (now grown) was about 4 years old we took him to the Museum of Natural History.  Outside of the building is a huge bronze bear statue, and I wanted to take his picture by the statue.  He was terrified because he did not understand that the bear was not real and that it could not hurt him.  Then, I thought of the things in our lives that we are afraid of or worry about that have no basis in reality.  And, I heard the Lord say, “Stay present with Me.  Refuse to project out and think about or be afraid of what might happen.  Trust Me in all things.” Psalms 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me.
