I read an encouraging word that I reblogged here yesterday and it hit me like a ton of bricks. At first I made an assumption about what I thought it meant, but as I pondered it and prayed about it, I knew God was just encouraging me to move forward on my journey. Then when the writer of the post shared that it is dedicated to her first-born, I knew I had my answer! 😉
We must make sure we do not misinterpret what God is saying to us. And then there are natural things that don’t make sense that will make us come back to our senses.
Sometimes common sense goes out the window, when people receive a word of encouragement. For example, if a man says he is madly in love with a woman and says she is his soul-mate, it wouldn’t make sense for another woman to try to win him over, even if she feels God is saying they will be together. (sorry for the single girl example, lol). So no matter what encouragement comes along, that woman needs to stand strong and wait on God.
It would make sense for the woman to move right along with her life and if it’s meant to be, he will come a fetching. lol
Yes, yesterday was one of those days that made me think long and hard about the decisions that I am making. As someone once told me, “use the brain God gave you”, which was wise advice. And that is exactly what I am doing. 😉
New International Version (NIV)
