Don’t Kill Your Baby

baby in wombI know this title will probably get a lot of attention. But I am not talking about a literal baby. I’m talking about the vision that you may be carrying.

The other day I was so fed up, I was begging God to take HIS vision away from me. I emphasize that it’s His because it did not originate with me. I was begging God to take it away. But then I heard the still small voice of God say, I was too far along for him to take it away”. It’s just like when a woman is literally pregnant. They say you get very tired at the end of your pregnancy and you can’t take it anymore. You just want to give birth. Well, I’ve never had a baby in the natural, but I’ve been spiritually pregnant.

It’s hard to stay strong and believe God when you no longer want what God wants for you, or you feel it’s driving you crazy. But this I know, God says you will deliver!

Isaiah 66:9

New International Version (NIV)

Do I bring to the moment of birth
and not give delivery?” says the Lord.
“Do I close up the womb
when I bring to delivery?” says your God.

Red Dawn

I saw this movie on my birthday and it was timely, because I am about to go to war and fight for what God said belongs to me!

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:

Raise up a standard of faith in the midst of your circumstances.  Take every opportunity to trust Me with all of your heart.  Refuse to allow negativity, doubt, or unbelief to undermine your rock-solid faith, says the Lord.  Face your fears and overcome.  The outcome of your situation depends on it!  Be strong and resilient even in great difficulty. I am with you to bring you through to victory.

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Dealing with Sin

Today is my birthday and you can imagine how sobering it was for the Lord to deal with me about some issues that I need to let go of! But God is our Heavenly Father and he loves us.

The Lord began to show me that so many times we makes excuses for our “failures” and we don’t take them seriously. Let me give you and example. If you are a Christian and you find yourself lying, then that makes you a liar. Well the Bible is clear about lying and the consequences of doing it. So what would God require if we are to walk in holiness in this area? He would need us to stop lying completely. Now if you are taken aback by that statement, it’s a sign that you need to get a better understanding of sin.

We can’t continue to slip and fall in certain areas and think that God is going to tolerate it. The goal in walking in holiness is to stop committing that sin. I can’t explain it to you, but the Lord really dealt with me about things I have to STOP doing completely.

You can’t slip and fall in fornication, adultery, porn, gluttony, lying etc and continue in sin forever. At some point you must stop. You can’t used the excuse that you are weak, or you didn’t get enough love as a child or you were abused etc. It’s time to get delivered for good.

You must reach a place of desperation with God. I don’t care what you have to do. You may need to fast and pray for an extended period. Whatever you have to do, do it NOW. God wants us free from the bondage of sin.

Proverbs 28:13

New International Version (NIV)

13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

The Smartest Thing I Ever Did

I talked a lot about moving on the blog and the truth is I was being influenced to move. I never considered it until someone introduced the idea to me. I NEVER once thought God was requiring me to move. Well, the smartest thing I could have ever done was to NOT MOVE.

I am so grateful that I have a relationship with God. I remember in the midst of it all, being torn. I was so feeling the pressure from SOMEONE about moving, but never once did God say to move, at least I don’t believe He did. A lot of times things seem like a “confirmation” when a thought has been placed in our mind.

God definitely knows what He is doing and we must listen to HIM over man. People will manipulate you and get you to do what they want you to do and then they will kick you to the curb and you will end up in a mess. Yes, NOT moving is the smartest thing I ever did.

Genesis 26:3

New International Version (NIV)

Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.

The Blockage

Often when something doesn’t work for us, but works for someone else, we feel as though something is wrong with us. But nothing could be further from the truth.

I remember thinking something was wrong with me because I could not connect with a particular person. Then the Lord showed me that he was protecting me and I saw the result right before my eyes on television. Someone I had talked to and prayed with, ended up in jail. I heard God say “see”. Had you made that connection that may have been you.

I am NOT a jealous person at all. I am the one that can be genuinely happy for others. Just ask ALL of my friends who have gotten married and had children before me. I was always the one they could count on, who would support them along the way. Not saying I have never felt jealousy; just not a jealous person.

Sometimes when someone get’s an opportunity or something must happen first before we are able to get there, then we feel slighted. Remember, God knows and he may not be protecting the other person, but He is protecting you.

I have a situation and there is an incredible blockage. I just accept the fact that God is protecting me from the outcome that the other person will meet!  He loves me like that and you too. Thank you Jesus!!!

Proverbs 4:23

King James Version (KJV)

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
