I have a “relationship” with someone from a distance and it’s the strangest thing. It won’t grow or get any closer unless I do something.
Sometimes I just have to shake my head in utter amazement. To me the solution is very simple, and I think it could might be to that person as well, however they have made a choice to keep it the way it is. So what do you do in a case like that? I do nothing. It’s just that simple. I’ve done enough and there is nothing else I can do.
This is not me rejecting the person either. It’s me realizing that if someone wants you in their life, they will make the effort to allow you in. And it’s not about their being let in on their terms alone.
We don’t have to live in the same city to be friends. All of my close friends live out-of-state. It’s about making the decision to be in each others lives. Period case closed.
If you want someone closer to you, reach out to them via phone, email, text or in person. Then go from there. Just you. It’s just the simple.
