It’s a Journey Pt. 2

I’ve decided to continue with this topic because it’s been on my mind a lot lately. I left off talking about God’s timing, so I will continue there.

Waiting for God’s timing is something we have to learn in our walk with God. The Father, is not about a sprint. Dictionary.com defines a journey as:

jour·ney

noun 1. traveling from one place to another, usually taking a rather long time; trip: a six-day journey across the desert.

2. a distance, course, or area traveled or suitable for traveling:a desert journey.
3. a period of travel: a week’s journey.

4. passage or progress from one stage to another: the journey to success.

Notice the definitions that says traveling from one place to another usually taking a rather long time. It means we progress from one stage to another and it usually takes a while. If you are one that wants things instantly you will probably have a had time in your walk with God. I think that is most of us, but as we walk with him we will begin to understand God’s timing. And even when you think you know, you don’t know.

Unlike society, God is NOT moved, by your age or your stage in life. He is not moved by the rush that YOU are in. God see all and knows all and just because you want something now does not mean you will get it. Because you have decided that it’s time doesn’t mean it is. That is what I am learning.

In part one, I shared that God showed me financial increase and prosperity coming and he showed me how to obtain it,  but guess when the Lord began to show it to me? It was in the year 2003! We are talking 9 years now and just this week God showed me a more detailed formula for this venture. But I am beginning to see why I had to wait so long. Sometimes when the blessing is big we have to be processed by God so that we can handle it.

There is nothing worse than squandering God’s blessing on foolishness and I think God has drained that out of me. You see, I could careless about designer clothing and yes I will be a millionaire that still shops at Costco. 🙂

I have to be honest. For a long while, I was despising my journey because it was unorthodox and unusual and people misunderstood me. I’m sure some of you can identify with this. Honestly, I didn’t understand half the time. But now I am starting to see this journey in a different light.

Some of you are enduring situations that are designed just for you. And when you come out you well be able to help so many people. Continue on the journey that God has called you to walk and don’t concern yourself with the path of others. Only alone God know the what and the why.

Jeremiah 29:11

New International Version (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!!
