Will You Own It?

Someone called me this evening and asked me if I thought someone who had done another person wrong would own it. It was an unusual question and I answered it as honestly as I could. You see sometimes we don’t own up to our wrongdoing or faults unless we are forced to. So I told the individual that, the individual they inquired about probably would not until they were forced to.

I can look at my own life and see that I could not get a hold to certain issues in my life until I was forced. Not every issue, but certain changes I needed to make, it seemed I was helpless to change until I had no other choice.

After being asked the question, I heard in my spirit that this is going to be the time for some people to own their wrongdoing. No more covering up and cowering. God is putting a stop to some things and the reason it because it’s time to make restitution.

It is an unwise person who thinks that they can keep hurting people and not have to pay the price. But even if you haven’t experienced a season of reaping, do fool yourself. It will happen. We reap for the good and bad that we do. The Word of God is true and no one is exempt. Save or unsaved. It’s a universal principle. So make certain that you are sowing good seed, not to counteract the bad, but out of the love of Christ.

Galatians 6:7-8

New International Version (NIV)

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
