The Enemy to Vision

I was thinking about two visions that God gave me around the same time, and how neither has manifested as of yet. Yes, I have been doing the work (at least on one). But recently I’ve lost some steam about my visions and I realize that time can be an enemy to your vision. I know a lot of people don’t agree, but a lot of dreams and visions are about timing.

Today, I was watching brilliant movie mogul, Tyler Perry speak about his journey to success and how he tried and “failed” and tried and failed and as I listened to him share his story I realize that sometimes it all boils down to the right time. I’m sure God was teaching him faith and obedience along the way and when the time was right and he learned those lessons, God did it. Now his success in the entertainment industry is baffling to the world. God has used him as a great testimony.

But we must stay focused. I’ve been distracted lately because of hurt, disappointment and wondering when it was all going to happen, but I know God has an appointed time and it’s not too far off.

This week, I am anticipating something big. God already told me it’s not going to be what I expected, but I still need to obey and that is exactly what I am going to do.

Psalm 37:23

King James Version (KJV)

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
