I have to say that God has more influence on me than any person. Don’t get me wrong. Sometimes what people say and do affects me greatly, but when it comes down to it, if God tells me something, and man says the opposite, I believe God.
I had a series of dreams pertaining to someone a while back and although the person adamantly denied some things, I knew they were not telling the truth because God had told me the opposite. They felt their constant denial could sway me, but it did not and that is because I believe God more than man.
Yesterday, I felt a challenge to my faith. At first I thought God told me that something had changed, but what I realized is that my resolve was being tested. At first I wanted to run to my comfort zone. Sometimes God will allow things to come to see if we have made up our our minds that we are going to stick with what He said. Well I know I am more influenced by God than man, so when he tells me to make a change, I will do it, no matter who tries to discourage me. As they say in the world “that’s just how I roll”. 😉
Yesterday was liberating for me because I now know, God is the only one influencing me for change. Man is totally out of the picture. Maybe that had to happen before this change could take place. I’m so glad it did, because I’m free!
